What is Not Your Average Treasures?

We create thoughtfully designed, handmade products that are practical, useful and a little bit unexpected. Every treasure is made with the goal of solving an everyday problem while adding a little joy along the way.

Are your products handmade?

Yes! Our products are made in small quantities rather than mass produced. This means each treasure receives care and attention throughout the making process.

Where are your products made?

Our products are locally made in Australia. We believe in supporting local production and creating things with purpose rather than simply making more stuff.

Why are your products different from other handmade products?

We don’t make something simply because it’s possible to make by hand. We start with a purpose — a problem to solve, something to organise, something to make easier or simply something that deserves to be a little more fun.

What materials do you use?

Materials vary depending on the product. Each product listing includes relevant information about the fabrics, hardware and other materials used.

Will my product look exactly like the photos?

We do our best to photograph every product accurately. Because our products are handmade and fabrics can have different pattern placements, your treasure may have slight variations from the product pictured. That’s part of what makes it yours.

Are products available in limited quantities?

Some are! Because we make our products in small batches, certain fabrics, colours and designs may only be available for a limited time. If you see something you love, don’t assume it’ll be around forever. Some treasures really are treasure hunts!

Will you make custom products?

Customisation may be available for selected products from time to time. If you have an idea you’d love to see, get in touch — we’re always interested in a good idea.

📦 Orders & shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within Australia. Shipping options and costs are calculated at checkout.

How long will my order take to be dispatched?

Our products are handmade in small quantities, some products may have a slightly longer processing time. Any relevant information will be included on the product listing.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping option selected at checkout. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive tracking information where available.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Where tracking is available, you’ll receive your tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you’ve made a mistake or need to change something, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help, but once an order has entered production or been dispatched, changes may not be possible.

Can I combine multiple orders into one shipment?

If you’ve placed multiple orders and they haven’t yet been dispatched, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.

Can I send an order directly to someone as a gift?

Absolutely! Enter the recipient’s delivery address at checkout and we’ll send it straight to them.

Can I return my purchase?

We want you to love your treasure. If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work through the best solution. Our full returns policy is available in the store’s returns policy page.

What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?

We’re sorry! Please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and photos of the issue. We’ll assess what happened and work with you to resolve it.

Can I return something because I changed my mind?

Our change-of-mind returns policy depends on the product and its condition. Please check our full Returns Policy before purchasing. Customised or personalised products may have different return conditions.
